Where do your outdoor session take place?
I work with each client individually to find a special spot in the Bay Area/ 50 mile radius from Castro Valley that matches your goals for the photos. If you’re not sure, I have many spots in mind and we will find an area that is special for you. I do kindly request in my contract that the client pays entry fees/parking fees
When Should I schedule?
I usually book session 2-3 months in advance, with my busiest season in the fall. I am typically available Sat, Sun, Mon, and Wed. I suggest morning or afternoons for the best lighting.
What should I expect in my Online Gallery?
After our session together, I will spend some time enhancing your photos, including some black and white versions in your gallery. Within 2 weeks, I will have your photos up for your enjoyment and email you a link to the site. I have found I work best with not limiting the number of photos I offer to a specific number and will share the ones that I feel are the best from the session. The number of images is dependent on so many things (ex: child’s mood, weather) that it’s hard for me to give a specific number of images in a package. You will have the ability to download the session in your online gallery to have the photos from our session for 60 days. The image size ranges from 3-5Mb in JPEG form and can be downloaded onto your desktop. If you choose your top 5 favorites on the website, I will be able to upload the full resolution image for download onto your desktop (Ave: 8-13MB) for images you might want to put on larger items like canvas.
What should I wear/bring to the photo-shoot?
I highly recommend something that is comfortable and can move around in. I have found clashing prints can be disappointing once the photos come out. If you can wear similar colors but not completely matching, I have found my clients have been the happiest with those choices. I usually recommend women bring layers for the shoots to have options for multiple looks. Special props can add a nice touch but please let me know what you’re bringing so I can prepare. If you would like to bring your dog to the photo-shoot, please bring treats/squeaky toys to grab their attention. For children shoots please bring snacks and a toy to help keep their attention.
